Cheyenne Indians attack a train at a vulnerable time, when it has stopped at a water tank to refill its boiler. The Indians were quick to recognize that the iron horse carried soldiers, and it brought settlers who built houses on old camping grounds, plowing up the grass that belonged to the great buffalo herds.
