Fenceline Display - Kestrel and Mullein by Daniel Smith.

 

"Droplets of dew reflect the soft morning sunlight, as it struggles to penetrate the blanket of dense mist. A female kestrel mantles on a fence post, having begun her morning hunt. I couldn't resist painting the flattering display of the female kestrel's striking plumage. To complement her rust coloring, I juxtaposed stalks of common mullein receding into the mist." - Daniel Smith.
