End of the Day - Sunset over dairy farm by artist Paco Young

End of the Day by Paco Young

"I moved to Montana for a number of reasons, including being closer to the wildlife subjects that I was painting at the time. But I found that I was more inspired by the people and landscape surrounding my new home.
"The farmers and ranchers who are my neighbors put in long hard days of honest work and manage to live with the land in a time-honored tradition. This painting was influenced by a number of these neighbors. The dairy men milk their herds twice a day, at sunrise and sunset, every day. I wanted to express the peacefulness of this routine in the low light of evening, the soft glow of the barn lights and the puddles of water left in the plowed field by a recent rain.
"My family and I have found peace in our beautiful Big Sky valley, and I hope you will get a sense of that simple honest tranquility from this piece." - Paco Young.
