"Nez Perce Indian sisters are playing on a warm autumn day in the woods near the Clearwater River. Their fringed buckskin dresses are adorned with elk's teeth and cowrie shells. The sisters are particularly proud of their moccasins that are heavily beaded with traditional designs. This area of the Nez Perce Reservations in Idaho is where many events in their tribal history have transpiered." - R. Swanson
