Long before the dawn of history, Indian tribes came and went, leaving no trace of their passing except the images they painted or chipped into stone. Later hunters, like these Cheyennes, would marvel at the works and wonder if the ancient ones' spirits still hunted bighorns like the one pictured with three arrows in it.
