In 1990, Paul first invited us to share a visit to The Flower Market. That exquisite image, radiant with color and warm with nostalgic ambiance, was embraced by collectors and sold out at once. Over the ensuing years, Paul has often brought us back to sample the market’s delights, ever changing with the seasons and the hours. Now he returns to the scene at twilight, bathing each richly colored bloom in an incandescent glow.... We don’t know any other artist who weds flowers with memories as tenderly as Paul does. Evening at the Flower Market evokes one’s fondest recollections of country living—its simple and most rewarding pleasures. At the same time, one reaps a bounty for the senses. Who doesn’t savor the dewy fragrance of these blooms or long to touch their satiny petals?
