The Bichon Frise has been a favorite of royalty, artists and families for centuries. With its intelligent and cheerful disposition, the Bichon Frise makes an easy-to-train and loving companion. After their introduction to the United States in the mid-1950s, the playful white dogs quickly gained popularity, and the breed was officially inducted into the American Kennel Club in 1973.
