As these tulips bent toward the light, their petals flared out and the effect reminded the artist of party dresses. She chose this particular vase to complement the tulips because its elegant lines suggested movement, and the light seemed to dance through the sparkling crystal:

"In order to grow as an aritst, it's important to take on new challenges. This is the most intricate piece of glass that I have ever tried to paint. It took about two weeks to draw and paint it. but in the process, I figured out a new way to make the highlights sparkle. The sense of achievement and delight that I felt when I finished "Party Girls" was fabulous." - J. Jones.
