Pony Express by Frank McCarthy
A lean pony express rider leaps his horse over a shallow arroyo in a race with challenging Indian warriors. By all odds his well-bred, grain-fed horse should outstrip the grass ponies. The pony express began in 1860 and lasted just nineteen months, but its legend is a rich part of the western heritage. Print released 1991. Anniversary edition canvas released July 2012.
